Jake Clawson is a Level/Game Designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Computer Game Design, having interned at the Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy as a Game Design Intern while also having worked with fellow alumni/students on multiple projects throughout his life.
He has an understanding of applications such as: Unity, Unreal, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3DS Max, InDesign, and After Effects that help in the creation and design of multiple level layouts and missions on previous projects. Besides design applications, Jake also has knowledge in Python, JavaScript and C# for scripting and blueprint system purposes alongside production/asset management skills using Jira, Trello, and Slack.
The main focus of Jake’s skills is derived around the design of both levels and mechanics. He specializes in level/environmental layout, mission design, and gameplay mechanics when dealing with Level Design while also specializing in story narrative, lore design, and setting design when dealing with Game Writing/
Jake has continued on this path for the passion of creating games since high school and aims to work and improve his level designer and game writing skills through practice and projects.
Jake currently works as a Game Designer for Game Taco, designing game design documents and working in-game with other game developers as he helps guide the design process.
